I bought this lens from Amazon about a month and a half ago. First off, Amazon shipped and delivered as promised. Never had an issue with Amazon with respect to shipping and delivery.

When I received the package I was some what surprised at the small size of the lens. This is the first lens I bought for the Kodak Playtouch. I was use to big 35mm style lenses. I was a bit cautious when looking at the way the lens mounts to the camera. I had read plenty reviews about the lens specifically the way it mounts. The mount is very small and without twezzers, it's difficult to center. It's a "once and done" type of deal. The adhesive tape requires 24 hours to set. If you want the mount to stay, give it the 24 hours. I did have the mount come off once however that was my fault. I suggest to you to remove the lens by sliding it sideways off the mount, instead of pulling straight off(that's how my mount came off). The lens does come with two mounts which is handy if you have two video cams.

The lens does a great job of giving a wide angle view of the scene. If you travel, video any special occasion, this is the lens you need. The Kodak Playtouch has a wider than normal lens but this brings everything in. This is a very clear lens without any distortion unlike a fisheye lens. This is just a great wide angle lens.

Very easy to install, attaches with magnets. I center it by looking into the lens and making sure I don't see the mounting ring in the lens. I don't do any crazy stuff with my camera's so I don't know what it takes for the lens to come off. I did put the other mounting ring on my Toshiba Camileo BW10 which is a waterproof video camera however I won't use the lens in extreme situations. I did read that someone had used there lens on a Playsport in the water and that they developed condensation in the lens.

It does come with a front lens cap and a magnetic rear cap with a lanyard.

I will get the 2X telephoto lens because of the Kodak quality and price. It might be the same quality as the Hong Kong lenses, however brand name piece of mind does have a price.

Failry expensive but still great quality, its not cheap metal and it will survive a couple of drops, It also has a second lens when you skrew off the top one to use a very close distances, its amazing i can see my finger print in focus when i hold it up to my lens

This lens is such a cool idea for a little camcorder, however, the magnetic strip does not hold and the lens became loose within days rendering it useless.
